The all-new effiQueenc SPLIT air-to-water heat pump system incorporates ultra-efficient inverter technology and a Panasonic EVI Inverter Compressor for optimal output and an outstanding coefficient of performance (COP) at temperatures as low as −30°C (−22°F).
The SPLIT design gives installers the flexibility to eliminate the use of glycol in the hydronic loop and the convenience of simple piping similar to that used in standard residential wall-mounted heat pumps. The maximum distance between the indoor hydrobox and outdoor unit is 35 feet.
Benefits:
- No need to use glycol, which reduces energy transfer efficiency and increases pipe pressure loss and installation costs
- Eliminates potential risk of freezing when used in outdoor temperatures below 0ºC
- Easy installation thanks to the smaller and generally pre-insulated refrigerant piping for connecting indoor and outdoor hydrobox units
- The exchanger and circulator can be serviced inside the home
The effiQueenc heat pump is certified to Canadian and U.S. safety standards

Features of the effiQueenc Indoor Unit (hydrobox)
High-efficiency ECM circulator, Grundfos UPMXL 25–125 130, 180 watts
- Low energy consumption, up to 70% energy savings compared to a conventional circulator
- Reliable circulator with drainage holes to protect motor against condensate and double-coated electrical wiring
High-efficiency tubular water/refrigerant exchanger
- The effiQueenc indoor unit’s high-efficiency water/refrigerant exchanger is made up of two spiral copper coils with no internal solder joints to prevent refrigerant leaks.
- Both copper coils are made of grooved copper, which considerably increases the exchange surface and heat transfer efficiency.
- The effiQueenc exchanger contains more refrigerant gas than plate exchanger models for enhanced performance.
Easy-to-use nine-button touch screen
Touch screen lets you view water temperature, adjust set points, and see the status of your effiQueenc heat pump. (Heating, cooling, DHW, alarm, etc.)

Tech Components of the effiQueenc Outdoor Unit
No freezing at the bottom of the fin coil. With refrigerant distribution technology, in heating mode, the temperature of the refrigerant in the copper tube at the bottom of the exchanger will remain constant to prevent icing and ensure smooth drainage.
Extra large 550 mm (21½″) diameter, variable-speed DC fan that’s efficient, highly cost-effective, and whisper-quiet (under 50 decibels). The controller adjusts the precise amount of air needed to operate the effiQueenc unit by varying motor speed.
Dual-rotor, variable-speed Panasonic compressor (DC INVERTER) with Enhanced Vapour Injection (EVI) technology. The DC motor operates at exactly the speed it needs for optimal efficiency down to −30°C. With this technology, the effiQueenc EVI DC INVERTER heat pump delivers 30% greater efficiency on average than a standard unit equipped with a conventional 1- or 2-stage compressor, which performs poorly at low ambient temperatures.
Two heating elements: one that heats the unit pan to ensure drainage and another that heats the compressor base for safe and easier startup in cold temperatures.
